Moving to a care home can be a big and daunting decision. Our highly experienced and qualified staff are on hand to receive enquiries and answer any questions or concerns our guests may have about making the move to one of our houses.
We welcome enquiries by phone, email or in person but we would strongly encourage guests and their relatives to come to the home to have a look around in person.
After this visit, we arrange for one of our senior staff to visit the prospective resident to confirm that we fully understand their needs. We then make the necessary arrangements for the move including arranging transport, ensuring that all necessary equipment is in place.
On the first day, the Manager will arrange to meet new residents and run through the basics including how to use the call bell system, room and house facilities, medication and safeguarding valuables.
The chef will visit to discuss food preferences and one of our house staff will discuss additional options such as activities, newspapers, hairdressing, chiropody and choice of GP.
Any relevant registrations and documentation are taken care of to ensure that the care needs of our residents are fully documented.
